Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher (bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY) born March 17, 1988. She's known as Grimes. The early work of her was described as moving into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influences from electronic music, hip-hop, and rock. The lyrics of her songs often address the themes of science fiction and feminists. Five studio albums were published by the singer. The singer was born and raised in Vancouver (later moving in Montreal), Grimes began releasing music independently at the end of the 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa In 2010, she released her first album on Arbutus Records. In 2012, Visions will be her third studio effort. She signed with 4AD. Visions comprises the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and received the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. [5] Following this, her fourth studio album, Art Angels, was released in 2015 and received reviews of praise, as numerous publications named it the best album of 2015. [6] Her fifth album, Miss Anthropocene, was made available in the year 2000. Grimes has also been an actor and judge on Alter Ego's competitions for music, was the vocalist on the album Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in the year 2020.
