Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to an ethnically diverse family from South London. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, while her mother was English. Her family was in the south London Council Estate and was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, like King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her career as an actress in the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film was the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe also appeared on the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes at The CW, and was then removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe's exit from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as the main character she appeared as a guest in the first episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe got married to her long-time partner actor Iddo Goldberg. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played together in Salem.

Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty as well as four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball in summer as well as hockey in winter. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She danced. When she reached 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance since that time. Ashley was a competitor in tap, jazz and ballet at the top divisions. In addition, she won best soloist awards at all important dance competitions like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
